M.A., Director, Strategic Partnerships, Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario

Raeann currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario.  The scope of her current engagement in building collaborative partnerships, whether locally, provincially, or nationally, provides a forum to apply over 26 years of experience, working in the field of aging and elder abuse.    

She provides training to front-line service providers, delivers public education sessions to older adults and facilitates collaborative projects, forums, and research initiatives between community organizations, to enhance services to support older adults who are at-risk or experiencing abuse.

Raeann has been an instructor at Trent University for the Foundations of Elder and Prevention Course and published on various research articles and projects on the complexities of elder abuse. She also served as Co-chair of the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (CNPEA) and was Director of that Board for over 8 years.  

Margaret MacPherson

M.A., Research Associate, Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women and Children, Western University

Margaret has been leading social change initiatives on gender-based violence for over twenty years. She designs projects, curriculum and related materials for CREVAWC initiatives including elder abuse, workplace domestic violence and exploitation. 

Margaret is passionate in her belief that everyone has an important contribution to make in creating safe and supportive environments at work and in our communities.
